2020 Grant Disbursement

Claystone Waste is pleased to be able to spread a little holiday cheer to local not-for-profit organizations. The first cycle of the program in 2020 was suspended due to the pandemic but was reinstated in the fall.

A total of $44,851.50 was awarded to the following organizations:

· ALTA VI Memorial Society ($2500) for gazebo louvers

· Bardo Lutheran Church ($2500) for section of chain link fence

· Beaverhill Bird Observatory Society ($2500) for solar power system on their Education Centre

· Big Picture Theatre Foundation ($2500) for operational costs

· Bruce Sports and Stampede Association ($2500) for operational costs

· Friends of Ryley School ($2500) for school playground

· Friends of Tofield Students Society ($2500) for chrome books and charging station

· Happy Wanderers ($2500) for transportation costs

· Holden Community Hall Association ($2500) to replace flooring

· Ryley Community Preschool ($2500) for enclosed playground

· Studio 14 Art Association ($2500) for refurbishing stained glass windows

· Sunshine villa Residents Association ($1200) for rhythm band and drumming program for residents

· Tofield and District Chamber of Commerce ($1250) for Welcome Basket printing costs

· Tofield and Area Food Bank Society ($2300) for emergency lunches for three local schools

· Tofield Curling Club ($2500) for two overhead gas heaters

· Tofield Golden Club ($2500) to replace floor tiles in games area

· Tofield Historic Society ($2150) to reprint “Tales of Tofield” history book

· Tofield Municipal Library ($2500) to replace computer software

· Viking Minor Hockey Association ($2500) for power skating program

· WECAN Food Basket Society of Alberta, Tofield-Ryley Depot ($451.50) for COVID-19 PPE and driver stipend

Notice to Permit Holders: Permit office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Any permits received after 3:00pm will be processed the following business day.
