Claystone Waste Ltd. is proud to announce that our Administration Building in Ryley, AB, has been awarded the prestigious LEEDv4 BD+C Gold certification. This places us on the leading edge of environmentally-designed commercial office buildings in Alberta, symbolizing our commitment to innovation and pursuing sustainability.
LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an international standard that evaluates a building’s performance in carbon emission reduction, water conservation, energy conservation, and overall waste reduction. In particular, it takes six areas into consideration: location and transportation, sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Our Administration Building was designed from the ground up to excel in all these areas. Through careful choice of construction materials, the adoption of innovative new techniques, and the installation of large-scale solar arrays, we have successfully engineered a truly future-ready headquarters for our organization. We are proud that these years of careful thought, planning, and execution have received recognition.
Naturally, this enviable feat was only possible thanks to the support of many dedicated partners. In particular, we would like to thank Berry Architecture, Reinbold, Acuity, Jen-Col, VGOC/3D Energy, the Entuitive team, as well as the many, many others who contributed their time and expertise to the project.
Moving forward, we choose to view this Gold certification as a foundation, not as the summit. We know we can always do more to improve our operational efficiencies. We will continue to evaluate and assess how we work within our Administration Building and to adjust and improve our practices and facilities. Only by such ongoing commitment and effort can we truly say we are helping to deliver a brighter, cleaner future for all.
At Claystone, Gold is just the beginning.
