Two separate checks were done around the perimeter of the Claystone property to check for odours.
Mild smell of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) noticed directly north of the landfill on Twp 502 (see map). Third party confirmation of garbage odour north of landfill and east of Hwy 854.
Wind out of the SSW blowing away from Ryley.
Slight chemical odours along Hwy 854.
Strong odour of manure north of Clean Harbors.
Investigators noted ongoing farming activity in the area causing dust.
Strong lagoon odour in parking lot of Administration building. Noted significant activity at Ryley Lagoon and Pumphouse throughout day.
Special Note: onsite tour with MLA Garth Rowswell this afternoon including compost pad. No concerns identified.
