Oct 9, 6:11 pm – Complaint received from resident (email), who detected compost odour near Twp 502 and RR 172 (7/10). Wind SSW, 9km/hr.
Independent investigation identified odour of garbage near Checkpoints 4 and 5, and slight odour of lagoon near Checkpoint 3.
Operations noted that north face of hill is being used for waste disposal and likely source of odour.
Claystone Waste operates primarily on lands in Treaty 6 territory and the homelands of the Métis Nation.
