Strong odour (5/5) of sewage lagoon detected at Admin Building – staff entrance near Checkpoint 2. Investigator noted not just sulfides but other more skatole-like and diamine-like smells. Intensity increased exponentially with proximity to lagoon. Not smelled elsewhere on site or upwind of lagoon to the East at all.
Distinct odour of MSW/landfill with trace of light hydrocarbons typical of hydrovac disposal (2/5) detected at Checkpoint 3. No compost odour detected in this area. Investigator noted that operations crew was handling material on site hours ago and the process odour from the morning has dissipated.
Investigator visited all checkpoints and no other odours detected.
