In-Kind Grants
In-Kind Grants
Claystone is proud to offer grants to community not-for-profit organizations to help fund different activities. Our new grant categories make applying for a grant much easier!
The new In-Kind Grant requests would include donation of time or materials that has a monetary value but you do not require funding. For example, a donation of finished compost for a community garden project, or a request for a door prize or auction item.
Please complete the online application form to apply for an In-Kind Grant.
Please do not use this form to request bins for community events as there is a separate form for these types of requests.
Before applying, confirm your eligibility and other important information on the Community Grant page.
FOR MORE INFORMATION
For questions regarding the Community Grant Program and/or completion of the application, please contact the grant coordinator at Claystone Waste by emailing comms@claystonewaste.com or call 780.663.2038.
Grant Recognition
Grant applicants will be required to outline how they will acknowledge or recognize Claystone’s contribution as part of the application process including, but not limited to, a card or letter, post on the organization’s website, media, social media, or photos shared with Claystone for its use.
By submitting a request for a grant, the applicant acknowledges that Claystone will make the award of any grant or donation public on its website, social media, or traditional media.
Where appropriate, Claystone would appreciate the opportunity to attend an event or otherwise meet with your organization to learn more about how the grant funds are being used.
Claystone may require additional measures of recognition based on the value of the grant issued.
Application Timelines
In-Kind Grants can be submitted anytime and will be reviewed upon receipt.
Claystone Waste recommends that requests are made as early as possible prior to the activity start date to allow time to complete the funding cycle process.
The project, event or activity being applied for must be completed within six months of the date in which grant approval was provided. If an extension is required, please contact Claystone Waste’s Communication’s Department.
Grant Review and Scoring:
In-kind grant requests will be evaluated by determining our ability to meet the request and will not have a defined rubric. We will be considering the following when evaluating your request:
- What resources are needed to meet this request?
- Do we have the resources and/or capacity to meet this request?
- What is the internal cost associated with meeting this request?
- What is the community benefit for the request?
Please note that Claystone may not be able to support all applications. Decisions of the grant assessment panel will be final.
