No waste gone to waste: Beaver Regional Landfill

The Cornerstone of Claystone

Our centre of operations is the Beaver Regional Landfill in Beaver County, a sanitary class II landfill facility located just north of the Village of Ryley, which opened for business in 1992.

Since then, we have worked hard to develop this landfill into one of the largest facilities of its kind in western Canada.

We are located close to major transportation and population centres, and our facility can easily be reached from Edmonton and other nearby municipalities.

Thirty years of expertise

Claystone was established as a municipally-controlled corporation (MCC) in 2020, but we’ve been leaders in waste management for a lot longer than that.

Previously, we operated under the names Beaver Municipal Solutions and the Beaver Regional Waste Management Services Commission, representing over three decades of progress, innovation, and outstanding service.

As a Class II landfill, we are capable of accepting municipal solid waste and non-hazardous waste at any scale.
More information on accepted waste along with required forms and permits can be found on our landfill page.
