The transition of Beaver Municipal Solutions to Claystone Waste included public consultation in all of the member municipalities.
Public hearings on the Claystone Waste proposal were held by each municipal member council in June and July 2020 to receive community feedback on the legal agreements, documents, and transition as a whole. These documents included the Claystone Waste business plan, and other key formation agreements of the MCC that described the operating plan, management structure, and accountability mechanisms. BMS and Claystone Waste have released a What We Heard report for residents to review information received during the public hearing process. The report provides information regarding recent legislative changes affecting regional services commissions, key themes heard in the feedback that emerged from the hearings, information on amendments to the Claystone Waste business plan and other formation documents, and responses from BMS to the public submissions and comments made by residents.
