As part of our Community Grant recipient highlights, we’re featuring the Friends of Ryley School Society, a dedicated, volunteer-run organization that plays a vital role in supporting Ryley School, its students, and its teachers.
Through fundraising initiatives, hands-on support, and close collaboration with school staff, the Friends of Ryley School Society works tirelessly to enhance the learning environment and ensure students have access to meaningful opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Their commitment truly helps make Ryley School “the best little school around.”
Thanks to funding from Claystone’s Community Grant Program, the Ryley School Basketball Court Project will soon see the addition of two new outdoor basketball hoops on the school’s existing courts. This upgrade will give students more opportunities to stay active during recess, gym classes, and free time — supporting both physical well-being and teamwork.
Beyond the school day, the basketball courts will remain open to the broader community. This means residents of all ages will have access to a safe, welcoming space to get active, connect, and enjoy time outdoors together.
We’re proud to support initiatives like this that strengthen local schools and bring communities together. To learn more about the Friends of Ryley School Society and stay up to date on their work, be sure to follow them on Facebook.
